Clear Vision 2020

The experience we find in the future can be determined by the outcome week seek. 2020 is a double number year which occurs every 101 years. It’s the only one most of us will experience. What can we do in this year? Reflect, then actively plan to positively influence the future. Maybe you have vast wealth, or maybe you have none, yet we all have a voice with ways and means to share our experience of this moment. What we imagine is important, since little was ever created without a dream and a plan. How we realize our dream is the future.

We have never had so much ability to see and ignore so much.

We have never had so much food and so much hunger.

We have never had so many personal vehicles and so many traffic jams.

We have never had so much industrialization and so much pollution.

We have never had so much hope and so much fear.

We have never had so much extreme division, anger and opposition to each other.

We have never had so many people living on the planet earth, or orbiting it.

We have never had so many financial resources controlled by so few people.

We have never had so many species die in such a small period of time.

We have never had so many ways to provide a home and so many people homeless

We have never had so many children with so much ability to communicate together.

We have never had so much institutionalized recreational violence and so many mass shootings.

We have never felt our oceans so warm with so much acidity and microplastic.

We have never had so many hot days and extreme weather events

We have never seen so many aggressive land fires.

We have never been so connected and so divided as a family of humanity.

We have never been able to translate another person’s language so easily and so fast.

We have never had so many robots and so much poverty.

We have never been able to produce so much power without pollution.

We have never lived under so much democracy and so much apathy.

We have never seen so much debt held against the USA, with reductions in social security.

We have never seen a continent burn, or glaciers melt so fast.

We have never had so much nuclear powers and so many nuclear weapons.

We have never had so many medical miracles and so many medical foreclosures.

We have never had the ability to communicate so fast and ignore so much.

The year 2020 will be remembered as the year of perfect, clear vision, when we were able to see all our challenges and all our solutions, when we were able to effectively communicate with any person, regardless of their language or location who can tweet, type or take a picture.

The year 2020 will be remembered as the year of seeing clearly, yet will it be remembered as the year of acting as stewards of a future in which our grandchildren will live? Native American elders counseled their braves to act with respect and reverence for seventh generation, about 175 years from now, while others stockpile weapons, restrict resources, empower elites and destroy our planet. The scribes of history will look back on our actions while we gaze at the unwritten pages of our legacy. Now is the time to claim environmental, financial and humanistic sustainability.
