How to cope with your rock bottom

I am 22 years old. In the last week of 2017, I faced an emergency that forced me to resign from my job, my first job after college. I had to pack my stuff, leave Seattle, the city that I had come to love dearly, and move back in with my parents on the other side of the world. It was a great job and I loved the work, but I had no choice. It was devastating.

What a way to end 2017.

In the first week of 2018, my relationship with my girlfriend ended. Partly because of the distance, partly because of the uncertainty of our future, partly because of the uncertainty surrounding my situation, and partly because of just pure bad luck. We were doing long distance for quite some time, and I reckon it took a heavy toll on both of us. We were deeply in love, very committed and we brought out the best in each other. We had met in college, and had graduated together, hand in hand. In our time together we had evolved and matured. I was heartbroken. She was heartbroken. My ditch just got deeper.

What a way to start 2018.

So here I am now. This is the lowest I have been in my life. This is my rock bottom.

Over the past month, I have created a coping mechanism that I want to share with you. Slowly but steadily it seems to be working. I really encourage you to try it out. You don’t have to try all the ideas out. Try something for a couple weeks and see if it helps. Keep experimenting. Maybe it will work for you, maybe it won’t, but if even a part of it helps even a single person it would make my day.

This is all I have for now. I have made it my mission to rock my rock bottom, rediscover myself, and help as many people as I can along the way. It won’t be easy, but it is going to happen.

If you are at such a point in your life please know that I can relate to you. I know how it feels. Please don’t give up. Don’t stop fighting. There are so many wonderful things you can accomplish.

If you think no one cares please know that I do. I’m rooting for you. I’m cheering for you. If you want someone to talk to you can reach out to me. Together we can all help each other.

Remember. This too shall pass.

Thank you for reading. Please let me know if I have made any mistakes. I’ll correct them.

I hope this helps you.
