A Blockchain Based Review System

The world is full of scam and deceitful people where people try to hurt the other party just for the knack of it or to take out the revenge on them. No matter the reason but when negative reviews are posted for a freelancer by the entrepreneur, most of the time out of instinct people consider maybe it is true, making it hard for the freelancer to redeem himself. However, it does not mean that entrepreneurs or clients have never faced unethical individuals as such, who try to exploit their image to retaliate for the bad work they did and got rejected.

Well, the thing is, no matter what party is being blamed but in such situations deciding on who the correct party is and who is to accuse is always a dilemma. Since GigTricks with its launch will offer a blockchain based review system to eliminate the buying and selling of reviews. The review screenshots will also be stored in the hyperledger fabric with the timestamp, in order to create transparency among the community members.

But in case, any community member consider the review posted on his profile unfair or biased or the resultant of a conflicted project then he will be allowed to raise a dispute.

Let’s say, you are a freelancer and you sign up for a creative writing task, however as you started working on the task and delivered the task, the client was unhappy with the outcome, insulted your work and decided he wanted something else, as a result, he changed his overall requirements. Yet, you kept working on the task because you do not want to lose a client and spoil your image as a freelancer and submitted the task on time. However, the client was having uncertainties.

On completion of the entire smart contract and payment, the client posted a negative review blaming you completely that you failed to understand the requirements and deliver the task after the deadline passed. You as a freelancer have the right to review every feedback left by your clients, you read it and was disoriented and disappointed to see a bad feedback even after completing the task twice and within the deadline.

GigTricks ecosystem will be designed in such a way to give the users the right to either accept or reject the review, though, keep in mind, no review can be deleted or edited by any user. As a result even after you say the review is not legit, it will still visible to everyone.

On the other hand, your rejection will raise a dispute, you can respond to the review and clear your position and explain your side of the story. Similarly, the client can respond to shed light on what he thinks and happened on his side, making it easier for other ecosystem participants to know the full insight of the disputed order.

When such a situation arises, chances are the discussion will never come to an end, but GigTricks has analyzed all aspects from every perspective and planned its blueprint accordingly after determining all inside outs. At GigTricks a majority voting system will be at play to decide which party on the disputed review is legit and which party is scamming or exploiting the other one. As a result, a secure, trusted and transparent ecosystem will come into existence to benefit the freelance and on-demand economy.
