Touch the divine when the sun comes up

As you open the door to the rest of the day

find the place inside your mind
where thoughts are deeper than words
the place where you listen to the birds
Sing

see rain clouds and red sun
without judgment
touch eternity with your mind
Turn on the light

Before doubt, ‘shoulds’, and the rage of the day
press you down, inside the box of narrow sight,
where you forget to dream.

The cure for the despair at your lack
is not staying at your desk
All night

Rest, eat, and get freshly dressed
remember what makes your heart
Sing.

Fit lost pieces of your life back into places they belong
throw out shiny wrappers that distract you from digging
lost gold from the ashes of your burnt up life
